Today (April 2nd) is World Autism Awareness Day. Per the CDC the current autism rate in the US is 1 in 36 children with a 4:1 prevalence in boys. Having raised a child with autism we design our inclusive play environments to incorporate not just the sensory needs but the climbing needs of kids on the spectrum. Check out our LinkedIn page all this month to learn about designing playgrounds for children with differing needs and abilities.
