Doing something ≠ Doing something wellNext time you're feeling like:😢 "I (we) have already tried everything, and nothing has worked. What else should I be doing?" ❓ Take a step back and ask yourself "Did you just try things, or did you try doing them well?" 🤔 As a coach and consultant I often hear this frustration, and I get it because I've been through it. In a world where we are bombarded by noise, and success is measured on speed & instant results, we just don't have the time or motivation to reflect, dive deeper and try to do things better. So, trying something once becomes enough to make up our minds, and we start to look for other things to do instead.👉🏽 Try using these 3 Rs instead: Reflect, Research, Recommendations, and then try again.💢 Tried a coach or consultant that didn't work out? Reflect, research, get recommendations, and try another one.💢 Tried a networking event that didn't go well? Reflect, research, get recommendations, and try another one.💢 Tried a gig that didn't get the results you wanted? Reflect, research, get feedback, and try another one.You get the idea...If your counter argument is:⌛ "I don't have the time or resources to do it well". Then try answering these questions for yourself:❓ "Why not? What else is a higher priority? Who is setting your deadlines and limitations?"This is a reminder to everyone who is having trouble breaking through a barrier: 💚 Take your time to do your research, the due diligence, build things of quality and value, and get the quality help you need. Try it once and if it doesn't work, then reflect on what didn't work and then try it again, just a little differently. It will work wonders in the long run. 💫
